Community PBIS Supporters
Our staff has invited a community-wide coalition involving students, families, and community stakeholders to promote sustainability of our Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS) initiative, but also enrich it by bringing multiple perspectives. PBIS is designed to teach students pro-social skills and to support behaviors consistent with a positive and safe learning environment. Mobilizing families and community members strengthens our effort to support our young people in the school building as well as in the community. Our PBIS motto is: POSITIVE ATTITUDE, ACADEMIC FOCUS, WISE CHOICES, and SHOW RESPECT. In order to ensure the success of PBIS, it is important we reward students for displaying positive behaviors when they show a dedication to learning and citizenship. Students wear their t-shirts weekly reinforcing our PAWS ideals. In addition, our community partners have been given PAWS Community Posters and Community Wolf Bucks to reinforce good behavior while students are visiting thier business.
